DONATES WIGS,COOLING CAPS TO WOMEN CANCER PATIENTS AT KIDWAI MEMORIAL INSTITUTE OF ONCOLOGY.

Dr.M.VijaKumar,Director,Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology said,"Cancer is an
ailment that systematically destroys a person,especially patients in the final stages.
For women, especially, hair is a symbol of their feminity and a loss can be 
emotionally devastating.These wigs will help ease the emotional turmoil they undergo".
Dr.Vijay Kumar said that change of lifestyle is one of the major factors for people
suffering from cancer.There are three types of treatment,they are Surgery,Radio Therapy
& Chemo Therapy.Out of 100 women patients suffering from Cancer  28% are 
Cervical cancer ,18% are Breast Cancer & 10% suffer from Oral cancer.Dr.Vijay kumar
said,it is advisable for every woman above 40 years  to undergo cancer screening for
early detection & timely treatment as cancer is curable.
