ADVANCED HEART CARE- MINIMALLY INVASIVE CARDIAC CARE THROUGH ROBOTIC TECHNOLOGY FOR FASTER RECOVERY & GREATER PRECISION.
Narayana Health City completes 100+ Robotic Cardiac Surgeries in a single month. Advanced Robotic Technology is enabling surgeons to perform complex heart procedures with unprecedented precision and minimally invasive approaches. Among the complex procedures performed during the month was the case of a 45 year old patient who had previously undergone Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) commonly known as Heart bypass surgery and later presented with a tumour in the upper chamber of the heart that can obstruct blood flow if left untreated. In patients who have already undergone bypass surgery, reopening the chest through the conventional method can be particularly risky, hence to reduce the risk the surgical team adopted Robotic assisted minimally invasive approach. The operation was performed through a small incision on the right side of the chest using robotic instruments and high-definition visualisation, allowing access to the heart without reopening the breast bone.
These cases reflect the robust infrastructure & technological integration at Narayana Health's Cardiology Centre of Excellence .With continued advancements in Robotic Cardiac Surgery,Narayana Health remains committed to making complex heart procedures less invasive & more accessible while delivering precise patient centric care to individuals & families across India & neighbouring regions.

'ZERO TO HERO' -CAMPAIGN BY APOLLO CANCER CENTRE ON WORLD CANCER DAY.
Cancer cases in India are rising sharply, with over 15 lakh new diagnoses reported in 2024, and numbers continue to increase each year, according to ICMR-NCRP data presented in Parliament .With one in nine Indians now at lifetime risk, cancer has emerged as a pressing public health concern.Yet over 70% of cases are identified only at late stages (III/IV),when treatment is tougher, outcomes are poorer, and the financial strain on families is significantly higher.Though each cancer is unique (brain, breast, neck, lung, pancreas, liver etc.) the survivors took timely action and emerged as Heroes through awareness, access and prompt care.
Mr.Dinesh Madhavan, President,Group Oncology & International,Apollo Hospital Enterprises Ltd.,said," Early detectionis not just a medical priority-it is a system's priority. The data consistently show that early-stage cancers have markedly higher disease-free survival & longer median survival compared to late-stage diagnoses. At Apollo Cancer centres,we constantly strive to move beyond treatment to prevention & early detection. This approach has the potential to transform cancer care from reactive to pro active cancer control'. Hence the slogan SOONER WE ACT,THE BETTER THE OUTCOME.
Mr.Akshay Oleti,CEO,Karnataka region, Apollo Hospitals said," At Apollo cancer centre, we are committed to empowering individuals to take cahrge of their health.the ' Zero to Hero' campaign is a testament to our dedication to early detection & prevention.we are proud to be part of this transformative movement, and we urge every one to prioritize awareness, screening and prompt care.together,we can turn cancer diagnosis into a story of survival and hope".
