The garment production here is more than Rs.3800 crores of which, 65% is exported and the rest is consumed by the local Indian Market.Today,most of the leading apparel brands have their manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru and nearby districts like Bellary,Belgaum,Shimoga & Dharwad.
Moreover, many textile manufacturing hubs in southern India like Tiruppur,Erode,Karur,salem & Coimbatore are also very well connected with Bengaluru by roads & railways.In the past, few years, more than 12 apparel & Textile parks have been announced and the Govt. of Karnataka & plans many more for the coming years. All this makes Bengaluru an important garment manufacturing hub in India. The GTE Bengaluru,is held every alternate year & is also growing in stature & reach with each show. The Garment Technology Expo (GTE) stands at the threshold of its 36th edition which is held from 20th TO 22nd September,2024 at Gayatri Vihar,Palace Grounds.
