ALUMINIUM ASSOCIATION OF INDIA FOR INCREASED USE OF ALUMINUM IN BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION.

"Aluminium's strength,low density,corrosion resistance and design flexibility make it the ideal material for building applications.The construction industry holds ample promises for the future of aluminium in India says,Prof.KSS Murthy,Honorary General Secretary,Aluminium Association of India (AAI).

Aluminium is considered to be much safer than PVC window and doors and more over 
easily recyclable qualifying as sustainable & therefore branded as green metal.Because of 
this aluminium is used in all types of building/construction and infrastructure and as it is 
very appropriate that BIS  undertakes standardisation of window and doors.

It is projected that 10,000 MT of aluminium will be consumed in next 2 to 3 years in  building industry in Bangalore.Aluminium windows can replace wood in construction industry.

Mr.A.Jayagopal,Chairman,SEP Committee,AAI,Mr.T.M.Thomas,Principal Architect,Thomas Associates,Mr.V.Gopal,Executive Director-Projects & Planning,Prestige Group and
Mr.K.Anand,Hon.Treaurer,AAI participated in the seminar.There were also many experts from the aluminium and the user industries participated in the discussion.
