on a patient for Trigeminal Neuralagia under the guidance of Dr.Pratap Pani &
Dr.Venugopal and his team. Addressing the media,Dr.Pratap Pani said,Trigeminal
Neuralagia is a neuropathic disorder causing intense pain in the face,originating
from the trigeminal nerve.Trigeminal Neuralagia was first described by physician
John Fothergill & treated surgically by John Murray Carnochan both of whom were
graduates of the University of Edinburgh Medical school.
The Trigeminal nerve is a paired cranial nerve that has three major branches,the
Opthalmic nerve (V1),the maxillary nerve (V2),&the mandibular nerve (V3).
