 Experts in the field of Opthalmology have raised concerns that has the potential to impede corneal transplants in India.Shortage of available donor eyes,crucial for successful  transplant procedures. To create awareness about Eye Donation, a Walkathon was organised by Dr.Agarwal's Eye Hospital, a leading chain of eye hospitals  in Bengaluru.The event was part of the ongoing National Eye donation fortnight campaign, encouraging  people to pledge their eyes and make profound impact

More than 100 enthusiastic students from IPS School( Indira Priyadarshini School)  and the members of the public gathered at the Bannerghatta branch of  Dr.Agarwal's Eye Hospital  for the walkathon.Dr. Agareal's Eye bank,during the period of 2022-23 , a total of 5521 eyes were donated from Karnataka, of which 1821 Corneas were successfully used for transplants.
