Earlier this year,the hospital also completed 200 liver transplants,
and also performed 8 paediatric & 2 swap kidney transplantations.
The kidney transplant program is headed by Dr.Anil kumar B.T,

transplant Physician & Dr.Narendra ,Transplant surgeon.
Addressing media,Dr.Anil kumar Said,"Though kidney transplantation
offers the best possible quality of life for patients with end stage 
renal disease,the rate of transplants in our country is much lower
than in the developed world.The main reasons are lack of awareness
lack of clear national policy & decreased donor donations & living 
donor donations."

CAUSE OF ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE IDENTIFIED.

Scientists confirmed for the first time that bacteria can
change form to avoid being detected by antibiotics in the 

human body.

Bangalore : Studying samples from elderly patients suffering from
urinary tract infections, the New Castle University team used 
state of the art techniques to identify that a bacteria  can lose
its cell wall -the common target of many group of antibiotics.
The WHO has identified antibiotic resistance as one of the
biggest threats to global health , food security & development
today.
