SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY-BANGALORE REGION
CELEBRATED 66TH REPUBLIC DAY AT THE
RAILWAY INSTITUTE GROUNDS.

Mr.Anil Kumar Agarwal,Divisional Railway Manager,
Manager Bangalore Division Unfurled the National
Flag and addressed the gathering.

He said upto December,2014,the number of passengers carried is 77 million against 74 million in 2013-14.
The earnings are Rs.960 crores upto December,2014.

To clear extra rush, 2821 special trains were run  
and 2047 extra coaches were attached during the  period April to December,2014.

The Academy is an independent
self governing and non profit organisation established to serve the state in matters of engineering concern and dedicated to impart scientific and engineering knowledge to practical
purposes besides promoting social,cultural and sports activities.The Academy is
located in Kamala Nagar (Basavesvara Nagar).Mr.S.Ramakrishna Is the President &
Mr.Jayaramu is the  Secretary.

The building of the academy has come up on a total area of 1 acre 04 guntas  and consists of four floors  with one lakh sq.ft built up area .The total cost of the project was Rs.18 
crores and was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr.Siddaramaiah.
