CELEBRATING  NATIONAL DAY OF REPUBLIC OF PERU IN BENGALURU.

Peru and India have developed a historic & friendly relationship of 51 years of diplomatic relations on the basis of common values and visions about democracy & International peace,security, & cooperation.

Peru is a member of WTO and has signed number of Free Trade
agreements with many countries.
Peru is a member of Pacific Alliance,formed by Mexico,Columbia,Peru & Chile.
Yoga and Bollywood films are popular in Peru.The mineral & hydrocarbon sector contribute about 55% and 13% respectively of Peru's exports.
Peru-India bilateral Trade as a whole was US$1.30 billion in 2013.The trade between us
is growing at an average rate  of 25%  for the last 5 years.Peru has become one of the main
gold exporters in the world and this brings an ample  opportunity to the  Indian Jewellery
Industry.
The Currency of Peru is Nuevo Sol (S/.).US$1 =S/.2.85 as on September.1,2014.
The population of Peru is 30,475,144 (2013).
