INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE - DEMENTIA INDIA ALLIANCE CONVENES GLOBAL EXPERTS AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE (DEMCON-24).

 The Dementia India Alliance (DIA), inaugurated the International Dementia Care Conference (DEMCON -24) at the J.N.Tata Auditorium,Indian Institute of Science,Bengaluru yesterday.The conference themed " Reaching the Unreached" aims to address the significant gap in dementia care in India.This TWO day conference (29,30,November,2024) provides a platform for knowledge sharing,collaboration and advancing dementia care.This conference s being organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Dept. of Health & Family Welfare,Karnataka,NIMHANS,Centre for Brain Research,Commonwealth Association for the Ageing (CommonAge) & Ramaiah Hospitals is expected to be attended by over 900 delegates from around the world.The event was inaugurated by Mr. Dinesh Gundu Rao,Minister for Health & Family Welfare,Govt.of Karnataka ,who emphasized the government's  commitment to prioritizing Dementia as as a Public Health issue. He highlighted  the need for increased awareness,early diagnosis and timely intervention to improve the quality of life for individuals with dementia and their families. He added Dementia is not just  a disease,it is a complex issue that impacts the entire family".

Welcoming the gathering Dr.Radha S Murthy, President , Dimentia India Alliance said," Currently approximately 88 lakh people in India live with dementia,with an estimated prevalence rate of 7.4% among those over 60.Experts believe that 45% of Dementia cases could be delayed or prevented".

SPORTS KARATE ASSOCIATION OF KARNATAKA HOSTS 32nd NATIONAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2024.

 Sports Karate Association of Karnataka hosts 32nd National Karate  Championship 2024 on 16th & 17th November,2024 in Bengaluru at Builders Club,National Games Village,koramangala,Bengaluru.The Championship has 278 events in total & large number of Karate students are participating from 24 states.

The event was inaugurated by Mr.Kyoshi P.R.Ramesh,General Secretary,All India Karate Do Federation and presided by Mr.Renshi R Ganesh,Vice President  All India Karate Federation & General Secretary,Sports Karate Association of Karnataka.

TVS APACHE SPARTAN CONDUCTS INDIA'S FIRST OBSTACLE COURSE RACE IN BENGALURU.

 TVS Apache Spartan ,the Indian arm of the world renowned obstacle course race (OCR) leader,SPARTAN RACE,kicked off its first ever race in India, attracting an incredible turnout of over 2000 participants.The race saw participants from 12 different nationalities,including Singapore,the USA,Denmark Great Brittain , the Phillipines Italy,Mexico and making it a truly a global event.

The 5K Sprint Obstacle Race offered  participants the ultimate obstacle course experience,featuring 20 challenging obstacles across a rugged off-road trail course packed with water. mud & pure adrenaline.In the male competitive category,Sanjay Negi from Agra came first with an impressive time of 25.25,Yadhu Krishnan M from Bengaluru & Ebi Victor from Chennai took second & third places.The athletes showcased remarkable strength,agility & endurance dominating each obstacle with precision to secure their victories.

Ai Ping from Singapore clinched the top spot in the female competitive category,completing the race in 37.24,Ekta Rawat from Delhi and Misti Mokros from the USA finished second and third places respectively.
